What is Industrial Copilot
Siemens and Microsoft are transforming industrial operations with the Siemens Industrial Copilot, an AI-powered assistant that improves human-machine collaboration. This generative AI copilot speeds up the development and debugging of complex automation code, dramatically reducing task completion times. The vision extends beyond manufacturing to include infrastructure, transportation, and healthcare. With the introduction of copilots in various industries, the goal is to accelerate code development, simplify operations, and address the skilled labor shortages that many sectors face.
What is Shifu
Shifu is an open-source, Kubernetes-native IoT Gateway developed by the team at Edgenesis. It is vendor and protocol agnostic, enabling connections to any device. Shifu virtualizes devices into Kubernetes Pods and exposes their capabilities via REST APIs. This architecture decouples applications from hardware, simplifying IoT application development to the level of web development. Shifu is essentially the "neural system" for AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), connecting the AI (brain) to the body (IoT devices) into one functional unit.
